I can't believe I'm a human. I have agency. People like me built everything There's no "other kinds of" humans who actually build the thing

It's just adults. There's no teachers or authorities or people secretly in charge. There’s no “other kinds of people.” It’s just us https://t.co/WL6mKBqvdj

Humans develop systems of governance, and some men and women become in charge of those systems, but it's still humans at the end of the day There’s no other kinds of people

it’s weird, coming to terms with being a real person it’s something like . . . other people don’t have anything i particularly don’t have? their opinions aren’t somehow more real. their opinions are made of the same stuff as mine

welcome to the reality no one told you about, where there aren’t “other people” anymore (adults), who sort of check your answers where you start checking your own answers, against your internal sense-making https://t.co/qlmGmhvvJu

There's a way in which creating Vibecamp is actually a different kind of agenticness than founding a startup. Vibecamp is just weird and there's not a lot of precedent for it. Startups are still part of the system. They're not truly an unpermissioned creation of “just a thing”

have you ever imagined being the founding fathers of the USA? what do you think the world was like from their vantage points? ("points", plural, because they had different perspectives & argued extensively about how to set things up!) https://t.co/HEBEVoimfR

the implications here are staggering. it suggests that a handful of people being uncommonly, persistently deliberate in their work can have a transformative effect on society. To paraphrase Margaret Mead, perhaps its the only thing that ever has https://t.co/P6yu1RxDvE https://t.co/IZmAzgyRjQ

it’s literally just bodies of people like us. that’s the only thing that have changed anything “uncommonly persistently deliberate”

as Marianne says, we went from college undergrads who thought allying against the Vietnam war was the best thing to people too stressed and wired between interviews to think anything can be changed https://t.co/x2aNd2uGyP

there are fundamentally two kinds of people - people who believe the efficient market hypothesis in their bones - people who don’t

@AskYatharth I'm still kind of amazed that my son doesn't have a back-up father. As far as his fathers go, I'm it.
