Work today: exposed a portion of the sink -> flower bed system so we can expand its capacity Water flows from the sink drains down this pipe and into a perforated pipe that waters this long flower bed It’s only justttt handling the water it’s getting and the rains are coming! https://t.co/JRCzkCepzE

Removed debris and wrappings to get a better look, it’s becoming clear what’s happened... The thing move because it’s mounted to the box with a plate, but the whole setup has settled in the soil so is lower than the drain now You can see it’s pulling out and down here https://t.co/xEuSx5FWTs

This has been resolved! Finally clearing away the debris showed that the drainage pipe here is not attached to the large tank, it drains directly from the soil I was able to raise the drainage pipe (by shoving bricks under it) and thereby letting the water get out :) https://t.co/iVxwfng7bb https://t.co/Ribuz77l05

Thinking to add a catchment here and then take perforated pipes both directions to increase the capacity by ~50% Should help, especially with rains coming that will definitely oversaturate the area if don’t divert some sink water Eventually will pump some uphill too https://t.co/wp8jbX1fRH

Removed hinges, attached to the gate first and then lined and up and drilled new holes for the post side of the hinges It was just screwed in before, I’ve switched to carriage bolts (go all the way through) since it’s old wood and I want that extra bite https://t.co/r8ERYKZQbP

It’s hung!!! I had to redrill one hole, meaning I had to tap the bolts back out to get at the hole... which smashed two of the bolts enough that the nuts won’t screw on them 😂 the saga continues So I need to go get two new bolts buttttt it works :) https://t.co/Zf2sv8o7hX
