Gotta lotta bamboo! Now to learn how to cure it correctly so I can build with it :) https://t.co/mLyufK0aWD

It’s a somewhat more delicate process than other woods because bamboo is HYGROSCOPIC https://t.co/exEcOwWX3s

Excellent https://t.co/AVWbyGUDJS

“Look for the right piece, listen to the breeze though the grove. Find a area that removing a piece will be of benefit to the stand. And finally show respect and reverence, for it is not only a exceptional natural material, but the spirit of a people.”

Traditional Japanese bamboo flutes called Shaku Hachi: https://t.co/9irlj1NLPw

Shokunin: poorly translated into English as “artisan” https://t.co/zdhqbnrJcI

Looks like my best bet is heating: I can use our outdoor grill as long as the pieces are short enough for that For longer pieces I can air dry but it will take some weeks potentially A lot of this partially dried before cutting so it won’t be too bad, they’re not fresh green
