I recall when gf and I got together a period where I shared A LOT of my references. It was spontaneous but I think the motivation was to develop shared context so our communication could be chunked. I now get that classical education did that FOR EVERYONE, via the western canon: shared references means chunked comms means you can get (much) further faster. Ofc we don’t do classical education anymore, ergo, context collapse, Tower of Babel like

@Pet_The_Bridge I don't read books anymore really, they tend to be too out of date or generally biasing the studies they cite to meet their agenda.I tend to get reference manuals and stuff to fill in knowledge gaps and do my own research.
