Embedding all my earthly knowledge in the collective grimoire known as twitterdotcom. My fingers have literally bleed from tweeting too much. https://t.co/BqUu7QPRFW

OTOH, I write tweets mostly for future me, so a non-linear book that embeds notes about my thinking is probably a non-standard use of Twitter.https://t.co/5IhZENykmO

In the past, people who read books likely also had the knowledge and experience to re-bind their books. You could make compendiums and stitch in your own notes. As books turned into precious commodities, we lost this hidden feature.https://t.co/L7YecF4gLm

Made a difficult decision today: I’ve decided I’m going to start dog-earing my books. My subconscious finds this disrespectful, but I’ve decided that if it helps me read more, that’s a higher class of respect (to actually engage with the material) A book is a thread of chapters https://t.co/pkRZaZo12H

I'm tempted to grab a sharp knife and start clipping bits of books and threading together a custom zettelkasten. If darwin made his own indexes, why not go one step further and weave the ideas together more directly. A physical xanadu.Pepe_Silvia.jpghttps://t.co/Bs85ShhHlm

Incubating a new way of engaging with & relating to my books. Every time I talk about my books I get a couple of randos in my mentions calling me weird or overdramatic, but it’s a simple truth that the history of my relationship with my books is foundational to who I am https://t.co/bA7gkiOWcX

I'm trying to figure out if I can use a quantum based model of information spreading to simulate lensing effects & information flow among networks of ants as an analogy for computational fluidics and phononics, as a proxy for memetics as a form of emergent networked computation.

I recall when gf and I got together a period where I shared A LOT of my references. It was spontaneous but I think the motivation was to develop shared context so our communication could be chunked. I now get that classical education did that FOR EVERYONE, via the western canon: shared references means chunked comms means you can get (much) further faster. Ofc we don’t do classical education anymore, ergo, context collapse, Tower of Babel like
