BREAKING: The Trump Administration announces the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, putting REAL FOOD back at the center of health. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/tkGF01onpm https://t.co/1zTLSKdE7R

@WhiteHouse @HHSGov @USDA Good https://t.co/yEe9lKw7Cm

@WhiteHouse @HHSGov @USDA Now let’s get the poison out of the real food supply, ban foreign ownership of our farms and ranches, support promote incentivize and subsidize small farms, and ban private equity and banks from ownership. Give the power back to the people. And make glyphosate illegal.

@WhiteHouse @HHSGov @USDA Someone tell the dev to optimize the graphics for mobile. They are more pixelated than if they were drawn in mine craft. https://t.co/19FBIeIoZF

@WhiteHouse @HHSGov @USDA where’s the McDonald’s https://t.co/FaY4Fp7Pax

I’m all for avoiding processed foods but putting meat and dairy at the top of the pyramid feels little ridiculous to me. It also reeks of big business influence once again. Basically just shifted from big processed food producers to big meat producers. I feel like the truly healthy stuff is just getting lost in the crossfire.

Sounds nice, but where is this 'real food'??? Chickens, Pigs, Cattle, are warehoused in squalor, no space to move, cannot standup, live a horrific life of pain, feed horrific kibble slop and pumped with anti-biotics, and then after 'processing', are injected with saline and CO to fake a red, fresh look. Same with years old vegetables, gassed to 'maintain freshness' The graphic is nice tho, if you are a boomer, entertained by boomer slop (sentiment, no substance).

Grok summary comparison of old version vs new because the website is slow: The **new food pyramid** (announced January 7, 2026, as part of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2025–2030 under the Trump administration, with influence from HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) replaces the previous **MyPlate** visual (introduced in 2011 and used through the 2020–2025 guidelines). Here's a brief comparison in list form: - **Visual format**: - Previous (MyPlate): Circular plate divided into sections (roughly equal parts vegetables/fruits, grains, protein; plus dairy on the side). - New: Return to pyramid shape, but **inverted/upside-down** (widest part at top for emphasis). - **Emphasis and base (most recommended/widest section)**: - Previous: Grains (especially whole grains) as the largest/base portion in older pyramids; MyPlate balanced but with grains prominent. - New: Protein (including meats/red meat), full-fat dairy, healthy fats (e.g., butter, beef tallow, olive oil), vegetables, and fruits dominate the top/widest area. - **Grains**: - Previous: Prominent role (encouraged as major source of calories, with preference for whole grains). - New: De-emphasized; placed at the bottom/narrow tip (focus only on whole grains, reduced overall). - **Fats and dairy**: - Previous: Limited saturated fats; low-fat dairy recommended. - New: Encourages full-fat dairy and "healthy fats" (including saturated sources like butter/tallow); ends "war on protein/fat." - **Processed foods/sugars**: - Previous: Limited added sugars and sodium advised, but less explicit on ultra-processed foods. - New: Stronger warnings — explicitly discourage highly/ultra-processed foods, added sugars, and refined carbs. - **Overall philosophy**: - Previous: Balanced plate proportions, focus on variety and portion control. - New: Prioritize whole, nutrient-dense "real foods"; more protein/dairy/fats; aim to combat chronic disease via food over drugs. This represents a shift toward higher protein/fat intake and away from grain-heavy guidance, with the pyramid revival as a symbolic change. @WhiteHouse @HHSGov @USDA This reads like you were forced to excise an explicit recommendation against seed oils, but tries to steer in that direction anyway. And the zombie Ancel Keys boilerplate about saturated fat somehow survived... https://t.co/BF7dzMWmIU
