have you ever had a lifelong emotional issue one-shot by a tweet? https://t.co/e7kI56mnrN

I had this experience when I moved to the Midwest from the South. I was shoveling snow and worried I was "doing it wrong" and that neighbors would see me think I was an idiot. And then I realized: Hey, when it comes to plenty of things, I AM an idiot! And if I AM uneducated, it's actually BETTER that people recognize that sooner than later! If someone knows better, then they can instruct me! If I'm pretending to know things I don't, I'll miss out! It changed my life.

Undoing muscle tension is kinda like: 1. Notice you are tense 2. Notice where you are tense 3. Notice *you* are creating the the tension, and stop I suspect undoing mental tension is similar: 1. Notice you are tense (suffering) 2. Notice where 3. Notice *you* are doing it, and stop. (Example below) (do u agree @johnsonmxe ?) Step 3 can be hard though! See below

I've heard rumors this tweet one-shot people https://t.co/ZNbXfxzVob

@ChrisChipMonk after thinking about this one a bit more, I actually think it fits "being authentic" better than "flirting," the latter of which is a skill you can be good at at any given moment or not (and hence, it makes sense to think about whether you're putting energy into it or not)

@ChrisChipMonk We aren’t going to save the world from San Fran tech bros commodifying life because the Gorgon will keep producing people like the above through academia . https://t.co/v3paxLYtup
