Those PM 2.5 particles are ultimately cleared from the blood and excreted into the intestine as part of how the body filters this stuff out. What kind of incense? Would be funny if it has protective properties toward the gut-lung axis.

At a hotel in Austin burning incense in the lobby. Told the staff it's bad for their health and gave data to share with their manager: Toxin increase: . PM 2.5 by 385% (= to 6 cigarettes) . PM 10 by 408% . PM 1.0 by 453% Left (outside), right (lobby). Don't burn incense. https://t.co/5G0TlW6ald

I'm going to burn more incense. In fact I'm gonna water bong an entire mullen leaf.oh noes, my pm2.5 levels!!!https://t.co/pndLX2X7nQ

In other news, did you know you can build your own particulate sensor for < $100?I did back in 2019 after learning about how smoke particulates impact brain health.https://t.co/00RCbkEUHc https://t.co/qshiPNcirQ

In other news. I am building out an environmental sensor to particulate matter. There's some weird things in cognition studies that seem to be centered on particulate matter. Would be funny if all my research into TRP => endocannabinoids end up relevant.https://t.co/DSsTTEDFHO

I wrote my sarcastic take on this years ago:https://t.co/2B3pnNKroN

What gets measured gets managed.https://t.co/pGTnbmDVG2

@seracena @LeviTurk @ESYudkowsky Retrospective study found neat correlations"evidence that exposure to annual mean PM2·5 in the USA is significantly associated with an increased hazard of first hospital admission with Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias."https://t.co/NB9n7rAf68

"The clinical results show that the levels of four pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1-α, and IL-1β) are decreased in the peripheral blood of elderly people taking frankincense extract."https://t.co/FifTOazQFSWHAT KIND OF INCENSE WAS IThttps://t.co/pnE5Y650o0 https://t.co/kpPRXe1sLq

There's a huge difference btw breathing in wildfire smoke, car exhaust, microplastics, various industrial particulates... and a stick of traditional insense! I'ma beat you over your head w/ a cluestick so big it'll kill a god.https://t.co/TDSSl5MHfrhttps://t.co/hKnJIZl6a2 https://t.co/9osHeNVexU

I have been absolutely obsessed with ways to neutralize the impact of smoke particulates on my immune system. Why do you think they get angry at sub PM2.5 particles? Its not because of their size, its because typically these are toxins.https://t.co/kEE5vyjpzS

I rant about it all the time. Do you wanna know something funny? I cured my GF's lung problems. She no longer is on an inhaler after like 25 years of her life https://t.co/sgF5tKHz1C

If you are curious, I ranted at @chaosprime a few months ago about wanting to regenerate lung tissue to fight smoke inhalation. (this is in the context of a joke)This linked to showing it isn't a new larp or anything like that. I'm deeply serious.https://t.co/vG9D7hiiRl https://t.co/6oP2GtpCwm

Have you tried to neutralize the impact of smoke inhalation on your biology, anon?https://t.co/YPNLW5ABjb

"Licorice, cinnamon ,ecinacea, elecampaign, ginger, and marsh mallow. Some magnesium and caffine + oysters. Then Iwhen the air awas clear I hate some hot peppers and went for a walk to rid my lungs of the Made my mucus thicker. Litterally made my lungs stronger."A note I left.

Why am I breathing in incense? Cuz it helps me breath better. 🙃https://t.co/W6EFybC7Bv

I'm planning on taking up smoking if my mom's FMT trial proves helpful for her lungs.https://t.co/eLmBKfGyqd

@Meritorious_L @MohammedAlo @RayPeatQuotes But I'm sure more research will be needed because everyone will just going to keep blaming smoking, exercise, and red meat.Meanwhile I'm figuring out what kind of gut bacteria metabolites I need, so I can smoke without getting COPD.https://t.co/WBAZHc67sU

Breathe, my pasty friend.https://t.co/HtaW8FMzDi

inb4 a bunch of traditional incense practices that help prevent the spread of mosquito borne diseases is snuffed out because a couple rich white guys think that a couple PM2.5 particles in the air will hurt their immune system's feelings.https://t.co/BD2HRLQgje

I was one of the first people to suggest we could... uh... use masks to help stop spreading disease.https://t.co/56IXpGnue3

My Corsi-Rosenthal box brings all the boys to the yard.https://t.co/MWxgGa0mhU

And they're like, you can make your own gas mask if you're worried about some smoke particles in the air from incense. Just be sure you can get a high enough CFM of fresh air thru the filter box so you don't suffocate.I made mine out of soda bottles.https://t.co/WsAK7FHYBk

If anyone knows of a good cheap way to measure CO2 concentrations, it could help a lot of people not die.https://t.co/FvhmL7DXR7

Did you know Taylor Swift can run on treadmill for 3 hours and belt out 44 songs?https://t.co/wKtqVUVB6X

How does sage improve infertility?"Consumption of sage (Salvia officinalis) promotes ovarian function by stimulating estradiol hormone release and controlling folliculogenesis, steroidogenesis, and autophagy" https://t.co/HFeHZe85V6https://t.co/aKtv4FsYss

While you min-maxed, I was eating soy biscuits. While you struggled to gain muscle mass, I was learning how to heal muh dick with dog shit. Now the world's fertility is in decline, you have the balls to come to me to remove plastics from your cum?https://t.co/s3KBzcG37Q

Folliculogenesis, in my ovaries? It's more LIGMA than you think.https://t.co/YXLkQQzAH8

Sage as protection against Bad Spirits?BRB, looking up recent studies on Sage.... Because according to a study in 2004 no one has formally studied Sage as a Mosquito repellent. https://t.co/7PA8tlw9cUhttps://t.co/FGjrngzIxw https://t.co/Zs88jda1vr

"Oxidative Stress Alleviation by Sage Essential Oil in Co-amoxiclav induced Hepatotoxicity in Rats"https://t.co/qgwSPT6iMw"[important to] Native Americans was Sage […] heal multiple problems […] it was also believed to protect against bad spirits"https://t.co/SYkLpVeEpu

Have you considered that the deadliest creature in the world is the mosquito? I'd call them demons too.https://t.co/npwSEHcyma

Ah, the English copy Grok actually cited mentions exploring sage repellent activity. It suggests it may be effective if the effect of the oils were stabilized.https://t.co/nDADRsbte3I wonder if smoking sage oils ala Incense changes their properties? 😏 https://t.co/kESJ54Lkei

Its always funny to me how often science studies never actually try to recreate and steelman the practice and assume it's the essential oils. We know that combustion changes chemical properties of herbs, so why not test smoke/smudging?https://t.co/p598zF9b7n

What kind of incense was it, health influencer?https://t.co/1x2EH6mcIH https://t.co/Y387Y1gsZt

I need more hard drives lol. https://t.co/0fi4aClmmC

BTW, the thing with sage seemed to work really well. Gonna buy a bunch more so I can make some anti-mozzie tea when it inevitably gets more rainy this summer again. https://t.co/w5qUyWp5OS

Cost me like $3 to make 6 L of deeply concentrated sage tea that I was able to pour into pools of water around the yard. Not sure how well this will hold up, but no obvious mosquitoes so far despite a couple weeks straight of rain. Made the house smell amazing. https://t.co/aMgcTWY2ru

What kind of herbal incense helps neutralize fungal spores and aids in the immune system fighting them off after inhaling it from wildfire smoke? @AskPerplexity https://t.co/S1rZWY7RJB

@Laserpig_Utopia @eigenrobot It seems to be spores themselves. On top of that the inflammation from small particulate in the lung create a perfect breeding ground for ones that are pathogenic. It make sense when you look at it from the physics of the way they move thru the air. https://t.co/GKjMucJt8j

Huge if true. https://t.co/bpvZ1xGnrG

@AskPerplexity Went to look Moxibustion up. I found a study suggesting that it actually can help prevent heart damage tied to chronic heart failure! "The results indicated MOX could improve cardiac function, increased cardiac ATP levels and reduced myocardial fibrosis" https://t.co/eBrcuKGu87
