deeply embarrassing a 3yo asked me to teach them how to write a "W". im sitting there, trying to help a 5yo comes over and more confidently helps this kid learn to write than me just got teacher mogged by a 5yo ama https://t.co/rih8KV9wPk

she says "no no no you're doing it all wrong" (she means me). pulls out a piece of paper, give it to 3yo, says "here's your practice paper. now make a line go down, up, down, up". "you can do it this way…" (draws with curves) "or this way" (straight lines)". "that's an M, it's upside down"

(why a "W"? 3yo wanted to make a sign to "walk slow". this kid is something else. he tells the head teacher he's going to take her job) https://t.co/8g30IHTE4J

((the weird part is he is not the first time ive heard of a kid in a classroom say exactly that? where are kids getting these weird ideas from?? do they have one big whatsapp chat??)) https://t.co/EV9w99Lr0R

this is true. i had no idea what i needed to even teach. the 5yo did! https://t.co/ijQwDSG9zB

another example, on drawing >I hadn’t realised a young child might find that kind of breaking down of a task of drawing helpful. https://t.co/MsTUyJPMez

this is the funniest bit lmao working with preschoolers is often like working with adhd people https://t.co/Smnc8uw2Mj
