I don't want this place to turn into a "movement" https://t.co/dkKYMPPH21

The risk is that the movement will never draw a line between itself and the oasis, and then will come to treat the oasis as its own home turf. Subject to its own norms, which will be light as first but *have* to become heavy as the movement grows. https://t.co/QV501yaNjs

This part of twitter is oasis. There are norms, and not rules - and you cannot rely even on the norms. There are strange and dangerous people, there are hermits who live nearby who you may never see, there are ranting prophets and tired travellers.

I have no objection to people launching movements from here, it is only natural. But if they do not draw a line between the movement of the space they *will* break the delicate bonds that make the Oasis possible.

@PrinceVogel This feels real important. There are probably something like 6-7 somewhat-cooperating somewhat-conflicting movements represented in tpot, and that's good for the scene. If one of those movements tried to become 'the tpot movement' it would destroy the fragile ecosystem.

@PrinceVogel i mean who am i kidding it is, but as someone who is outside of that physical area it does feel like the move to something more physical will necessarily require the moving away from the internet, which does feel like a coup
