I won't take questions at this time but I wish someone had told me about this combo sooner! so I just had to put the two acronyms in one tweet to seed the idea for people who're ready to hear it if you have stories to share I'm all ears

TRE is a technique inducing your muscles to tremble, so they complete the trauma healing process WITH NO INTERVENTION FROM YOUR COGNITIVE AWARENESS, no stories, no talking, no thinking, just softened muscles & less reactivity thereafter https://t.co/kJHmPNhidk

theory: all mammals need to tremble to discharge the energy of a traumatic experience. modern humans mostly don't do this out of deep unconscious shame, and experience great benefits when they find a way to access that state of being (it's a kind of non doing cc: @m_ashcroft)

club wisdom tells you how to deal with muscle tension on ecstacy= chew gum, suck on a dummy, take magnesium WRONG ANSWER (for me) the muscle tension IS THE MEDICINE. listen to what the muscle wants, if it wants to twitch let it, just let the animal parts of you take over

hypothesis: mdma induces felt sense of safety in your animal body so you have an opportunity to STOP RESISTING the muscle tension that you have been carrying around all these months and years inhibitions drop, shakes take over, tension oscillates back and forth till its done

๐๐๐๐ here is a necessary warning https://t.co/4rKO6u83au

@RichDecibels in case u havent been warned, plz be careful with TRE, and with recommending it to people with trauma, IMO it is employed very irresponsibly, ive seen the main guy (david) hurt people very badly with this technique, and i myself was hurt by it as well

@RichDecibels As an alternative warning: I find TRE do literally nothing for me, despite the fact that other things in this space do work for me and I clearly need something like this. (I haven't tried them under MDMA)

@bastard_brian I noticed muscles trembling, welcomed them, then I imagined Peter Levine asking me to "complete the movement", what does my body want to do? answer, push hard against a very heavy thing did that then: "what does this remind you of?" then, flood of intense memories

I was a wriggly kid, always wanted to move in peculiar ways, tapping fingers, making noise, bouncing my heels under the school desk all that movement was a brilliant mammal strategy for dealing with stress and all of it was physically punished out of me when I was a little boy

very grateful I met @awarenesss this year, he is a grown up, who moves thru a room just like my little boy self wanted to move. he reads group vibe and changes posture to serve it. eg this is getting tense, I will make sure you don't sweep it under the rug. or, OK, PLAY TIME

@embryosophy do you have any reaction to my hunch that long term locked up muscle tension is the result of actively resisting the body's need to tremble. so the way to release is to find the conditions where you can stop resisting

"If you manage to control yourself there will be ice cream" said the parent. "I sure hope this doesn't have unforeseen lifelong consequences" thought the child, doing their best to physically tense the body in the higher ice cream probability shape.

@RichDecibels did you catch my 2C-B muscular therapy thread? https://t.co/pQJ58sJh2o

@RichDecibels its certainly not all bad, i myself have also healed a lot partialy through tremoring with mdma, but it is very very easy for it to get out of hand and disregulating, especially when on an amphetamine like mdma. if one chooses to do it anyway it is vital that

@hormeze @RichDecibels yeah I gave myself like a month long breakdown with TRE ๐ข it all worked out fine but it was a very hard way to do it. please approach TRE with a lot of caution and support and gentleness with yourself.
