I love reading stuff like this. It goes on and on about how processed foods are bad and how we need more nutrients...But then you look at what it recommends and it's all stuff that boosts healthy bacteria. "replenish nutrients" is a red herring?https://t.co/y5R0jTWDmr

The nutrients don't matter if you're destroying your gut microbiome and recreating it with destructive stuff like Strep Mutans. Gotta have both the nutrient profile and the right environment for this stuff to work.https://t.co/kgbZLXGhmD

Toxins destroying teeth, and nutrients restore them.Demons destroying my life energy, and love restores them.https://t.co/JgFsWmzKar

I found some neat associations between oxidative stress + uric acid reduction and some studies reviewing "ancient Chinese" / Tibetan herbal medicine that I had previously noted as having diabetes adjacent virility cures. I'll have to branch down that path later.

The best fairy tale? https://t.co/gUG4a9LXHp

The tooth fairy is one of the few rituals we have in modern western society that hasn't been invaded by candy. https://t.co/2WuHQgm4M3 https://t.co/kn4Eh9xGHh

If toothpaste is a western invention promulgated on the back of advertising, what do other cultures do to maintain their teeth?https://t.co/h1soS9m8j5

It makes sense to me that long-term cultural norms around disease would affect the variation in immune system genetics. There's tons of strange papers on the ways religions have basically been at the core a way for society to deal with disease ala ritual https://t.co/LpayfvNsPM

George Washington's teeth didn't rot out of his head as we understand it. He actually used some of his own teeth as part of his dentures (they weren't made of wood)? Maybe he had gum disease?Whoa.https://t.co/QA60oxEnTW

@chaosprime @deafitist @GENIC0N @rivatez I have hyperthymesia.I saw Streptococcus in that article and my brain pooped out dog rose. Not sure why it happens."Streptococcus mutans"+"Candida Albicans" are probably synergistic, and dog rose fights the biofilm formation.https://t.co/EQCI7Pj7Dw

I don't just predict these things, I literally act as if this is the normative model that bacterial/fungal biofilms operate.https://t.co/GaqbHHykeA

"Their emergent intelligence and the evolutionary defence strategies are very similar to how organized human communities respond to society-level insults. […] key to our battle against biofilms could lie in understanding how bacterial societies function" https://t.co/NzYHLUPsNu

Pull the worm from the tooth.https://t.co/kdq9SUp4py

What circumstances lead to bacteria and fungus to team up and wander around the tooth landscape? Is it like slimemold shifting to their slug phase to find food?https://t.co/Z53Ubm60fO

If you really think about it. Biofilms are kinda like a structure extruded by bacteria and fungus. Like keratin or bone, or shell, or dead skin cells, or silicon, or... This is a primitive body. A Bivouac.https://t.co/gNnXiHsHS3

These things are everywhere.https://t.co/g4UDwHeuYc

@MMMalign @DouglasKeeth "systems, these organizational structures, that allow a lot of autonomy to sensing units — to sense and respond to the environment without constantly going up to a central controller — are ubiquitous in nature. I meditate about toilets while sitting on the toilet. But also while musing about complex nonlinear interactions of the dynamics of biofilm formation (at the colony level) in response to antibacterials+fungalcides and applications of combination therapy. https://t.co/GHC6CGCRm3

Can't wait until we see what kind of biofilms we are harboring in our gut."Dental biofilms from symptomatic COVID-19 patients harbour SARS-CoV-2 RNA and might be a potential reservoir with an essential role in COVID-19 transmission."https://t.co/Qdtsn6K4UV

So many biofilms, so little time.https://t.co/x6iA8FQZVU

I wonder what kind of mouth wash I can make to clean my teeth of biofilms awhile preserving health oral microbiota?https://t.co/Al4Ef6mwDR

@RahmSJ @TylerAlterman @seconds_0 I'd also be worried about spill over into other species if we are dosing it orally. Many of the ones we want to harbor in our gut for normal digestion of foods use biofilm formation to protect themselves. Hard to only target one species using a pharmaceutical approach.
