@a_yawning_cat the machine of humanity is built on top of this world. it brought many parts of the world into its control. so the machine could affect you, not the world. so we could begin to live by the rules we created as a society, instead of being based in reality

the danger is we begin living in the symbolic. we begin thinking something *is* wrong merely because it feels wrong. we become angry the system isn’t responding. we feel confused. hurt

these feelings are important to feel. one must integrate the grief of being disappointed and not run away into “masculine/power-based culture” to run away from the feeling of disappointment

but the machine can also isolate from the ultimate existential position—that of being responsive to the universe truly to grasp that—and then recognize the layers of human control built on top of it—is true integration for the weirdos who seek it for some reason
