To be upper or middle class is to be in a class of humans where other humans will take care of you and shelter & food will come to you from other humans. https://t.co/AKjgtX44ji

Humans aren’t like octopuses, or even bears. They can survive on their own. Baby octopuses hatch, grow up, feed and die on their own. Humans can’t do that.

You don’t have to fight the jungle. The infrastructure of society will spin, and other humans and machines will be entrained to provide you things. You are kept alive by the machine. https://t.co/c5ttRY8GoV

It provides the buffer on which to build stuff in a world that does not owe you anything because it is just a world; rain, hunger, hunters just are.

As an middle class person, I am caught by the net of society. I will have other humans take care of me and give me food & shelter. Why? I haven’t met them before. But I am of the class of people for which the economy of society will spin and I will be given things.
