several people have asked why not include social media - i do think it's important to include social media in a general "dopamine detox" and i do notice a dazing effect from spending too long on twitter that i don't like. this is more of a "video detox" https://t.co/sV9FjQwDvx

i happen to believe now is a particularly important time to be on twitter post-@tpotvibecamp and once that starts feeling less true i'm gonna incorporate a 1-7 day twitter break into the detox to focus on writing and other stuff. substack post in the works

current compromise i'm trying to make wrt twitter is to focus on tweeting, replying, and DMs, and mostly ignore the timeline. sometimes i do find myself scrolling but i've gotten faster at catching myself and going for a walk
