@visakanv TBH I think the weirdest thing might be that it's taken me so long to notice it. But I think the most non-obvious thing, even in retrospect, is how much someone's sense of humour reveals their areas of expertise.

@visakanv Whoops pressed enter before including the link. https://t.co/M9Wghu5gHj

@visakanv still trying to figure out what to do with my life. currently the subquestion i am thinking about is whether you can just decide to have more free will https://t.co/OoCgyqXko5

@QiaochuYuan in my experience there is a truth to this, but you have to kinda seduce yourself with it. a prompt I might offer is, think about what a ritual or ceremony to commemorate the transition would look like – the things that come up will likely be instrumental. That’s my style anyway

@QiaochuYuan @visakanv I suspect free will is one of those self-fulfilling prophecies, like whether or not you are hard-working, or happy. If you think you have it, you have it. If you don't think you do, then you're not free; popping into existence the moment you formulate it, like any good concept

@visakanv some more context for stuff that's been on my mind https://t.co/IVIEzW0F0s

@visakanv - flying back to the USA on Saturday, to Austin- have three blog posts in the works, on Rob Burbea, concentration states, and fundraising- getting ready to launch my 2nd music video soon- planning to do my 1st interintellect salon on Collaboration!

@tasshinfogleman mainly I’m just resting, slowing down, allowing the rhythms and cycles of the battalion to carry me while I sort of switch off and enter a psychological cocoon state to regroup and recover from my usual chaos

@visakanv Launching education think tank. Project on history of education with @kerry62189 (whom everyone should follow). Pushing myself to the places in the human condition where entropy still gnaws. Marinating in the autumn of NYC. Fatherhood. https://t.co/9bl3z5OIfw

@visakanv I'm exploring connection and intimacy and vulnerability, see e.g. https://t.co/tKgtA0cD5W Been reading tons of fiction lately: Ward, Vita Nostra, Land of Big Numbers, Project Hail Mary. Tryna work up the courage to quit my job and move somewhere. Don't know where though. Tips?

@visakanv the replies to this are a treasure! i want to engage with every one of them - saving for a bit later! writing music has been one of the most uplifting and enriching beginnings in my life. it is a place where i can finally fully express myself. also working on a sci comm project

@visakanv I'm building a software company, studying and writing about Scenius, trying to fall in love with new places, building stable long-term communities that play positive-sum games. And in recent news, learning game development -- along the way I'll do music composition + art!

@visakanv Lately I've been feeling very shy about doing so many things at once. Like people around me will think "oh, he doesn't know what he wants" or "he's always getting distracted" But I don't see it that way, or work that way. I've been avoiding sharing my projects due to this :(

@visakanv Looking back on it, a mentor + role model of mine was kicking ass as COO of an insanely ambitious company, father to two little girls, learning photography, reading tons of books, wife in med school. He didn't feel shame, and neither should I...

@visakanv i'm a homeschooler from Indonesia that is v interested in talking about education from the grounds up and is looking for more people to about it :D im also am doing an exploration of aesthetic and meaning, and trying to document that journey https://t.co/xaboHjdQrj

🧠 alright, a thread about my experience as a homeschooler. don't expect it to finish in one, because it is literally my life story. buckle up. we're going back to the start of it all, a year before my birth, the magical year of 2000. https://t.co/rf3spC5vvD

@visakanv oh, im also starting a new job at my mentor's place helping him set up a consulting and training company for public sector workers and so im exploring that a lot, which is leading me to think about the nature of countries and institutions and such a lot

@visakanv Thanks Visa! I'm brainstorming a new web dev project that'll fill in an internet gap as past projects have, ex: https://t.co/KAMlNEkQWU Meeting and talking and coworking with new friends in Austin Reading The Beginning of Infinity by Deutsch Thinking about work and money https://t.co/NdnJwPjJ2v

@visakanv I'm working on a survey for my friends in NYC about the types of hangout/parties/events people like to make it easy for me and them to plan events and get the invites out to the right people. I'm going to try to establish as many regular hangouts as possible in the next 3 months.

@visakanv 👋 hi friendsI’ve been busy working and doing family things. Recently started @juliagalef’s book and it’s excellent so far, highly recommended.I also bought a crossword puzzle book and have been enjoying doing those. I realize this makes me sound 70 but I’m ok with that!

@visakanv Currently finding my way back to myself after burnout. Reading “The way of integrity” which is a great book (and is helping)! Happy to be at this party 🥳 Here’s a thread I prepared earlier 😄 https://t.co/as1MzndXii

@visakanv Hey FANs! I've been really into simple crypto games lately (made a tamagotchi-style at https://t.co/p1oXPGO4fx). Also recently moved to a new place and figuring out how to make friends out here and how all this "adulting" stuff works haha

@visakanv I'm writing and making videos on: - the boring fundamentals - non-coercive productivity - recovering from excess rationalism https://t.co/x3HZ76Pqwz
