Things made a lot more sense when I realised: Zuko is the real protagonist of Avatar, just like Aaron Burr is the real protagonist of Hamilton. https://t.co/GrfRHNLdCM

Hamilton never fundamentally changes anywhere nearly as much as Burr does. It’s why Burr opens, why he closes, and why the single most striking song is Wait For It sung by Burr. Hamilton and Aang are side-characters whose POV the story is told from. https://t.co/dqcvi4TRSY

When you step back, you see the story for what it is. There’s the public face of it, but there’s also the subtle emotional arc of it, when you regard it as it is, rather than what it’s saying to you. https://t.co/7ysRfaHaO3

We feel close to people who choose to not interact with our public face.

People are like stories this way. People 𝘢𝘳𝘦 stories. There is the indescribably complex reality of them, then there is the myth of them, that they themselves and everyone else believes.
