Say someone had a poor vegan diet that didn't have enough Tuarine, and their generation of it via methionine & cysteine via "cysteinesulfinic acid decarboxylase" is impaired, and they started getting Taurine deficit associated heart failure and nerve problems, is it reversible?

I wonder how often humans have problems with bile that is actually driven by mutations and gut microbiota problems that impact all of this.Dysfunction in bile->gall stones->heart problems show up all the time in humans https://t.co/WuYyh8by4Lhttps://t.co/NrNRL73Qix

If bile acid construction pathways itself (not just pool size) is mediated by gut microbiota, & your bacteria aren't signaling to make enough... wouldn't that lead to stones as the calcium fall out of solution?https://t.co/GsosCWhdpghttps://t.co/CrgG7OQe0t

@PLT_cheater @The_Lagrangian @JimmyRis yes, good thing my liver can produce bile acid on demand on top of having a well functioning gallbladder. I specifically taylor my diet to promote Lactobacilli colonies (what ferments saurkraut?) that trigger FXR antagonism to increase bile acid pool size https://t.co/GsosCWhdpg

I don't actually know if microbes play a role in this. Low taurine might also be indirect symptom of kidney problems.https://t.co/NYa6zHVRAQIf so, taurine regulation itself may be downstream of glutathione, and smooth muscle blood flow issues. (at least in rats)

But Taurine seems important"New areas of research should extend these studies to include applications to clinical problems such as autoimmune diseases and inflammation. "https://t.co/55qyqk8g8y

It's amazing how I wander around streams of information and eddies of utility function like some kind of ant solving gradient descent style info-foraging problems.Does this idea smell right? I think so.https://t.co/UtDmYNmx3C

Heart problems you say?"Several studies have now shown that roughly 10 to 30 percent of hospitalized COVID-19 patients had high levels of troponin—a protein released into the blood when the heart’s muscle cells are damaged."https://t.co/8G2NUEh8LFhttps://t.co/2NUN2xLfa0

I need to figure out how to test what kind of bile acid I have. I need to find a place I can send my vomit to so I can confirm if cysteinesulfinic acid decarboxylase process is impaired.https://t.co/m1omEJ51kH
