It’s something someone at a party said. “Can we keep him,” referring to me in my complete adorableness. It was a mask I was playing, and she saw that and negated it. I felt grateful later.

Everytime someone calls you cute, it's “great! another tally on the cute scoreboard.” And… will they interact with anything else? It can be hard to remember the rest of me when it feels so invisible.
