My thought— Bypassing is mistaking the words & symbols for the actual experience itself Spiritual bypassing is mistaking your words of spirituality for the experience of it. Emotional bypassing is mistaking your words of your emotions for the experience of them.W

When you say, “I am resentful towards Sydney” or “I am loving towards Sydney”, you expect the words to do the heavy-lifting So you don’t have to feel. You don’t actually feel, the resentment or loving. It lets your emotional economy or ecology be cheap. Unaffected too much.

Truly feeling them might leave you a bit more silent. https://t.co/hpo1hgtbro

@AskYatharth what you said here reminded me of a Pearl Jam song called Hail, Hail and I think this is exactly what he was talking about https://t.co/kT4E6pxoFF

@AskYatharth Basically this - but about spirituality & learning systems, not psychedelics. But also about them too. https://t.co/ijlmi9u7Mg
