For a long time, I operated on this implicit assumption that if I knew the answer, it shouldn’t take long. There was this focus on knowing. There was a frustration with waiting. https://t.co/gmHRm70MSe

I see now how it comes from math and programming and many other places where literalising something once really does make it durable. https://t.co/FNgQd7rSBw

I had a pain with doing. If I was doing, it was wrong. Minimise doing. DRY. It hurt to do, and now I see how doing it the only thing that keeps me moving.

If you didn’t have a childhood like this, you might think I’m exaggerating. I am not. This is literally how I lived. The lens used to interpret my life 24/7.

The thing about lenses is they’re on /all the time/. The ones that become natural are the ones that shape your experience all the rest of the time. https://t.co/gxxdky6RvF
