If you seed your debate platform with ideology signaling games and memetic infohazards, your community is going to be full of bias. The incentives itself are rigged. But they can ignore that because "we're promoting rational debate".jpg
It also assumes greatly that these areguments are taking place in a vacuum, but in reality their advertising is acting as a filter. Its the same kind of failure is thinking that lead to the Milgram Experiments and Stanford Prison Experiments being biased.
The kind of person who clicks on Kialo's ads is either a troll or driven by their emotions over a topic. You aren't going to get clam rational debate if you seed via advertising. But you are going to get a massive growth and appease investors. Metagaming.https://t.co/Z5f2pbu90f
