I think there is something real going on with talk & group therapy. For many, going thru what Forte did and approaching things in that way is viable! For me it didn't seem to help. But by working on the underlying physiology, my problems just went away.https://t.co/19yDZ6lwIo

I'd bet could replace "Anger Work" with 'lift some weight' (or 'go for for a run'). Getting physical activity can help drive anandamide release which can help you think clearer; and lots of muscle use can elicit testosterone and reduce cortisol, both help regulate immune system.

My larger model of these systems is that they are homeostatic feedback loops that can get stuck. It is more than likely that by working on the mental hangups and dealing with psychological stresses that you could loosen up the system enough to free it up to fix itself.

But if there is an underlying problem that is forcing you to be more sensitive to social stresses, then you may not get as far. It gets old being told over and over that it's all due to your mental models and that you just need to work thru some issues.https://t.co/f6ZreJisgv

My thinking has always been there are both psychological and biological causes of unwellness. That there are environmental factors. Both emotional trauma, as well as physical trauma. Lack of healthy food AND lack of healthy relationships. And a lack of skills to mitigate them.
