I was reading about China's "century of humiliation" and it got me thinking some thoughts that are probably a little too sensitive for Twitter. I want to ask about people's personal and cultural experiences of humiliation

For example when thinking about race: have you ever felt or been made to feel humiliated because of your race? I imagine some people will get into technicalities, but I'm primarily concerned with the fundamental experience

I think there are some distinctions between guilt, shame and humiliation. I imagine some Americans feel guilty or ashamed about the legacy of slavery. But it's not the same as being _humiliated_. Am I making sense? It's about powerlessness
