Statistical argument against fear of terrorism is weak. Implies they simply roll dice. Ignores that fear is from not knowing nature of dice.

Strictly speaking the fear comes from not knowing where they'll strike next. Anxiety of the tall grass means you want to stand on a rock.

Belief response should be proportional is like saying reaction to one snake should be half as much as two snakes. Prarie dogs gonna panic!

Our reaction isn't framed right for the realities. That's why Saddam and Osama were news: they symbolized incorporeal snake in the grass.
