/ Interesting realization about tone on the web. I (and others) use capitalization, punctuation + short sentences when I'm confident, angry
/ When speaking truth to power. When being assertive. When isolating injustice. Proper phrasing is when I stand tall and shake my fist.
/ but thr's an entirely diff way of writing for the web- no caps, minimal punctuation i write like this when im scared/anxious/vulnerable
/ sometimes i talk srs stuff in a soft tone like this b/c i dont want to pick a fight, i just want to reveal sth in a harmless way
/ It's interesting to be deliberate about it. Soft strength. Bold vulnerability. I might experiment with switching it up in the future.
/ i write softly w/ smart friends that i respect + admire, if i write like this witchu we can probably watch movies tgt in our underwear
/ There's something sexy about proper grammar. I would never date anybody who didn't appreciate that. It's my equivalent of wearing a tux.
/ There are some occasions where you dress up, and some occasions where you dress down. So it is with words. Especially on the web.
/ or 2b more precise, prior to the web most ppl didnt have many opportunities to express themselves... so much less variation. much bland
/ CorporateTalk can be deliberate or clueless. Academic talk can be deliberate or clueless. All attire can be deliberate or clueless.
/ Fashion, design, architecture, words, photography. All forms of expression lend themselves to amazing nuance and texture. Joyous, truly.
/ i like fashion; i hate snobbery. snobs ruin fashion for me. same for words. same for design. beauty shouldn't be elitist or classist
/ When I say I want the world to have better taste, I don't mean MY taste. I mean your own. Discover yourself through your own expression.
/ kk i got other things to do now, thx for listening, sorry for spam, i love u all <3
