I was dating a PhD candidate back in 97, & I recall her saying while we were in her parents' vacation house hot tub in Key West, sipping mimosas, that she didn't think she could bear to bring children into this 'crapsack world'. She died childless a few years ago, didn't get a professorial job requiring that PhD, & her last FB post was griping about insufficient trans representation among public librarians.

@eigenrobot I dodged a bullet, but I loved her once. It's a shame. Many victims of the infohazards & psyops out there. It's tougher when you know a name, but I bet we all do.
