@DanielleFong Oh I can show you SO much dumber https://t.co/rNu4IiAVOH

@DanielleFong Would it be easier on people's joints to have a floor with some give? If so and the electricity pays for the extra expense, um, maybe. But it's hard for me to believe it would. Just buy a good running shoe or make a cheaper flexible walking surface.

@DanielleFong iβm thinking of a system that works during sex time. place it under the mattress and it generates electricity for the dishwasher. gamify the experience, people will challenge themselves to last longer in order to pay the bills.

@J_astronautics @DanielleFong Imagine how much energy a fall could generate https://t.co/cRtRJlyzCB

@DanielleFong I think you could get this to the point where it was net neutral to benefit/harm for people walking on it. But the energy harvested would be miniscule and maintenance would be high. You would need some very niche circumstances for it to actually be useful.

@DanielleFong doesn't this just make walking more tiring? when you put your foot down on normal ground, you're loading up energy into your arch to spring you up on the next step. if anything transport infra should be doing the opposite, people mover conveyor belts.
