i didn’t realize how it would feel to look at this. i don’t know how im expected to look at their eye colors and not feel viscerally that i am choosing one of my four children to live

@divya_venn it surprised me how strong the feeling was tbh, but it made it feel like they were all equally people? like how am i possibly supposed to choose which one of them gets to be, based on a table like this. unnerved me

@sonikudzu every time you look into their eyes you will know that they could have been another color, you will think you know which possibilities you have 'given up' for the actual child you got. sooner or later, the words "I should have picked the green-eyed one" will leave someone's lips.
