on reflection i think i agree, the story is whatever, a private moment between two people, but posting the story and the story going viral meaningfully affects the integrity of norms against lying and stealing. at that point it's not private anymore

@QiaochuYuan I think a lot of people are falling for the virality fallacy where they assume that Brent is eg bragging or encouraging something when really this was a throwaway post that would seem very different if it had got 5 likes
