something I haven't seen discussed much is how smacking kids affects their attachment style as adults like hi I'm your primary caregiver and I'm mostly attentive to your needs and also sometimes I use undisguised shock treatment to condition your behaviour oh and also all conceivable authorities agree this is good and normal
@RichDecibels only once, and I frankly think it was deserved. For whatever reason I had (after being potty trained) decided to go potty on the carpeted floor of my bedroom. If I recall there wasn’t a good reason I was just being a little shit testing things out
@RichDecibels Will also add that I had done this a couple of times with them trying various methods to get me to stop. It got bad when I pooped on the floor. One single smack on the bum and I didn’t do it again.
