procrastination is a sub-type of reactivity (resistance to felt emotions). reactivity, as a category, cant be one-shotted (canonically) one isnt resisting the situation itself, they're resisting the sensations arising from it either via narrative (thought) or distractions https://t.co/wSQghVEhBw

in this process, it's taken as real that there exists some "mechanism" (such as a button-trigger-reason as i use in guidance) by which Now-moment sensations can be changed, instead of them arising due to countless existing causes and conditions the way out is through

@Plus3Happiness >countless existing causes and conditions https://t.co/Av80V8CDiD

@Plus3Happiness i would be interested in hearing a video and/or writing from you where you discuss how resistance is an example of good resourcing, even if done unconsciously, because responding to real, chronic, long-term threats (not just i am attached to a story about who i am)

@CactusBrahmin i would say on the most part the few situations where this would be productive would be situations of active physical danger or deep trauma. but for like 90% of folks and situations, it's a bit unproductive for their long term wellbeing

@imitationlearn feeling the sensations and Taking Action About It (working for the outcome) are two differents processes, which are initially confused by folks once you start feeling sensations about situation, you can take practical action as there's no resistance to what Exists

@Plus3Happiness I’m starting to wonder if it might actually be perfectly straightforward reinforcement https://t.co/DLrjaYboLH

@ecstatictyping if you mean patterning/conditioning? pretty much, a leaerned behaviour to avoid sensations a few examples with the process of reversing it, which is in one of the comments https://t.co/qom9tbXW7z

@trobblet https://t.co/7nwlqMQPAL maybe this?
