@visakanv I have preferred versions of plates/glass/bowls for specific foods and I legit enjoy those foods better in my preferred cutlery pairings. My tea/coffee tastes better when I drink from a specific mug. Same goes for cool drinks.

@visakanv With a bit of practice you can get away with this sort of thing. "Oh, no, I can't order laksa, I'm wearing a white silk shirt. And I always seem to spill it on meself." (true, but misleading. Really, it's coz If I'm not wearing red (or orange) or I don't want to eat laksa.

@visakanv Thereās a book called āGastrophysicsā which details how aesthetics influence the taste of our food & drinks From plate color to cup shape andā¦lo and behold: The clothes we wear. Funny how we lose the sense, then develop a science to find it back. Brb, ordering steak socks.

@visakanv Every year around this time I used to order my favorite meal from my favorite Chinese restaurant and watch episode 6 of Kenneth Clarkās Civilisation. There was no conceptual connection between the meal and the program, but it just felt right.

@visakanv I have a toddler. He says too many things for me to build threads of magical thinking around. Kids aged 3-5 basically run around generating random sentences to see what resonate, much like they lurched about trying to walk before.
