@eigenrobot @lordcataplanga @slatestarcodex @selentelechia @StephenSkolnick Sure is interesting how schizophrenia and type II diabetes overlap.Wish there was some kind of simple explanation. Maybe one that we've been overlooking because everyone assume's it is genetic.Gut bacteria are heritable.https://t.co/eHeOqCNZPZ

@eigenrobot @lordcataplanga @slatestarcodex @selentelechia Funny thing about trying to solve my own autism? I've had to figure out how to distinguish symptoms of schizophrenia from autism at a very fine grained level.Someone should tell the pope he's illegitimate. https://t.co/VKNv2la28g

@eigenrobot @lordcataplanga @slatestarcodex @selentelechia it turns out problems in norepinephrine & dopamine regulation tied to PCOS genetics that impact ovaries.... Can be mitigated by gut bacteria.Ties into this: "The role of norepinephrine in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia"https://t.co/Ya9rwaDamBLFGhttps://t.co/fc3wWMOhj8

risperidone literally increases the levels of butyrate..."Increased serum levels of butyric acid might be associated with a favorable treatment response in drug-naïve, first episode schizophrenia. The clinical implications of our findings were discussed"https://t.co/6cxpdm6FcH

"transplanting a totally new human gut microbiota in one shot, which is referred to as FMT, is likely to strongly improve the efficacy of microbiota-orientated treatments in MD and schizophrenia and maintain the effect over time." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://t.co/Ged7u2Twxj

"There is a significant burden of gastrointestinal and liver disease amongst patients with schizophrenia. Better levels of support from all members of the medical team are essential to ensure that appropriate, timely care is provided." https://t.co/vJqW4OmYko

What do you mean pathways associated FGF2 and FGF17 seems to impact schizophrenia within GWAS, and are somehow manipulatable via a prebiotic fiber that might upregulate butyrate. https://t.co/WzMXyeJXdpSure seems weird.https://t.co/oPNJUKTvlf https://t.co/KkUw2CmKY7

@worlddestroyar @Metabolic_Mind Fun fact: this implies that the reduction in schizophrenia symptoms that shows up in Keto research (as well as responding well to niacin) could also be impacted by gut health. We need to take a hard look at this space.https://t.co/Qi24ZQbye0

@Return2Mimetic @nosilverv It's microglia shifts all the way down.> "Thus, we conducted this review of the scientific literature with a focus on the role of microglia in schizophrenia-associated cognitive impairment," [2023]https://t.co/LM3tpVQKwyhttps://t.co/6v9pxjQhCS

@market_death "With accumulating evidence supporting newly discovered gut-brain physiological pathways, treatments to ameliorate brain symptoms of schizophrenia should be supplemented with therapies to correct GI dysfunction." https://t.co/knyLwCMBNBHmm.https://t.co/3JlXYqoVIa

@100percenthelal @Duckue @Andr3jH Since doing my FMT the clanging is no longer something I can't control. I activate still do it at will to get apophenia & idea mixing. This is working toward better mucus function and repairing my intestinal lining. don't think it's safe yet. https://t.co/hpNX64npZJ

@NEETWizardJanus We see this the most clearly while watching people who don't have much of a social filter. Terry Davis said the god that speaks to him likes to make jokes. Jokes can be a powerful debugging process because it lets you see the situation from a new light.https://t.co/wvqukBIyCM

I have that thing in my head Terry Davis had. But where his can help him find bugs and likes to crack jokes, mine is just a retarded psychopath who screams at me and tells me jokes about rude parts of biology. Might call him Zizek for a while.https://t.co/7ICnbW5Iiz

There's a reason I added all of this onto a thread about Terry A. Davis. I want you to think I am schizophrenic. 1) Because I probably am.2) Perception filters are a hell of a drug. This lets an idea seep into your subconscious with the defenses down.https://t.co/II1CLgWfbI

@rps47586 @Grimhood You can treat Alzheimer's with estrogen therapy just like autism ans schizophrenia. Also we are looking at using heat therapy to treat Alzheimer's as well. I imagine we'll find that cognition scores improve when they have fever.https://t.co/ueC6vf14TDThey're the same disease.

"In humans, the FMT [was measured], showing improvement in Alzheimer's symptoms of mood, memory, and cognition. However, randomized and nonrandomized clinical trials are essential for more conclusive results." [OCT 2022]https://t.co/xcy7hMytkJ😇https://t.co/3JKyG7tyW6

This is really common among medical fields. It's all find and dandy to make jokes about eating poop until you want convince someone it might be a good idea. Then you start using terms like FMT and commensal bacteria so they don't put you in an asylum because of the aesthetic.
