Has anyone who has read this book gone from β€œI can’t feel feelings in my body” to β€œI can” ? https://t.co/ZUXRldUoEf

what is the go-to β€œhow to feel your feelings guide” in 2025? as dense, quick, and effective as possible. Focusing (audio)book is good, but is there anything better? (has anyone tested what has the highest success rate?) https://t.co/xzjiTuUmXC

@selentelechia nice nice. and it stuck into daily life? have a client who'd tried before and likes the state of feeling feelings more, but is numb in daily life

@ChrisChipMonk the emotional awareness side, definitely, with some forays back into old dissociation habits under extreme stress but it helped me know what exactly was missing whenever that happened

@selentelechia also just checking did you read *exactly* The Power of Focusing, or was it a different book? (my goal: i'm looking for the bestest, quickest, safest rec for people with the numbness issue)

yeah Focusing was one of the first books of its kind that I read and imo is still one of the best out there I will say I have one friend who found it moderately stressful to have all that new information hit so hard so some info about grounding might also help IME dissociative people are often quite sensitive people and if you can get past the woo framing + are open to some imaginal stuff, the first few chapters of Managing Psychic Abilities are fantastic and directly address what I suspect is one of the big vectors of destabilization (self/other confusion, provenance of sensation/emotion/etc)
