"mischievously comply with your wife's request" feels like one of those games you can only play in a relationship if it's going very well

@eigenrobot Mom used to try to pull this on me until I ate an entire raw onion like this.Protip: ranch dressing can be healthy for you if you make it with kefir/buttermilk and natural herbs. The kefir neutralize many bad bacteria.Store lettuce is not good though. https://t.co/vpfoIhhz8S

Does anybody know if UPC information for food recalls is available via an API? It would be fun to cross correlate historical health problems against stuff like lettuce & dairy infections.

@eigenrobot So if it was real authentic ranch dressing, it might literally make him live longer than the lettuce.https://t.co/XLPyRMGkN6https://t.co/EI8WPUPTQt https://t.co/O4NcgRfxoB

@DrEricDing What if fermented raw dairy actually improved the gut ecosystem in a way that fought off the main reason why flu kills people?https://t.co/djw69HUdUf

@eigenrobot One of the more interesting things about authentic fermented ranch dressing is that many of the sulfurous herbs added to it (as well as the kefir/buttermilk itself) can help the body resist the heavy metals that are sometimes in lettuce. https://t.co/zF4KShLr0S https://t.co/Tqu18Ov7KF

@eigenrobot I'm imagining a reply to this by the husbando talking about how he loves how him and his wife grow their own lettuce in their garden & make their own ranch dressing, while bringing up these talking points.

@eigenrobot "The researchers were a little surprised to find such differences in E. coli survival [...] many current hypotheses about the seasonality of outbreaks linked to lettuce focus on differences in the prevalence of the E. coli pathogen in the environment." https://t.co/rIeDw3tUbK

@eigenrobot I bet somewhere in our history there are stories about wild lettuce being haunted by fall demons, and there are rituals involving lacto-fermentation and storage that fight it. https://t.co/dFggtgQLhi

@goblinodds Human Adenovirus has been found in 93.3% of samples of lettuce in some cases. No one bats an eye when you go buy a head of raw lettuce from the store and put it uncooked in a salad. Our foods systems are batshit insane. https://t.co/qugicHVMhT

It seems Kefir on a bacteria incubator plate neutralizes e. coli provided it is made with colostrum. It is durable and improved by longer fermentation. This should be replicated to be sure. https://t.co/4PMHJRpoSM
