Pro-tip: If you're a founder and you have decided what you want to dedicate your energies on, don't use psychedelics! It will jitter you out of the hyperparameter basin you worked so hard to hone in. But you know what? I think that's not enough. You need to abstain from all annealing practices more broadly. You can't let any of that pesky semantically neutral energy make you reconsider what you're doing. Or allow you to see what you're doing for what it really is and the consequences of your actions from different points of view. No, you need to be in Founder Mode(TM), only taking and doing things that will help you latch on even more strongly to what you're already latching on to. Your sense of status and self worth? Latch on to it as if your life depended on it. Get a pack of Zyns and latch on to real hard to all of those body knots and mental gnarls. Investors are counting on your addiction and dependence on your sense of self. On your sense of being special and unique, God's gift to the world, who shall bring a new era of technology. Remember you're in Founder Mode(TM) and you should only ever take things that increase your latches to your pre-existing conceptions and desires. Latch so hard you end up in Latchonium. NO Semantically Neutral Energy Allowed. No saunas, no. No cold plunges. No intense exercise. No breathwork. Nothing that can ever allow you to notice how latching on to statusy things makes you feel... Kinda bad, actually. No, no, Founder Mode (TM) ain't compatible with this awareness of suffering. You just increase the suffering! That's the whole point of Founder Mode (TM). To become a fixture of the ecosystem others can depend on for their own latches. Oh, and certainly nothing that might do this at a more conceptual level. So don't expose yourself to inspirational content. Don't go to festivals. Don't consume high quality art. Only addictive, low-stakes cheap entertainment. That's the only way we can ensure you never get out of Founder Mode (TM). You can only raise your internal temperature up to the point where your precious latches get fortified. So Netflix and fast food it is. Give the latches some good seed oils to make them stick extra hard. It's the investors who subsidize your dinner, for they know they need to keep you in Founder Mode (TM). Indeed, avoid all new information if at all possible. You can't risk any of that free energy escaping your conceptual energy sinks and building up to something that might make you question your reality. Must Not Let The Energy Build. Latch Harder. It's Founder Mode(TM)!

I appreciate the sarcasm and believe this contribution to the informational commons to be a valuable one. Also view this as not representative of the meta set of viewpoints one should sample to form their own judgment on whether, when, how, and why not to take the very real risk of āgetting one shotted by a 6D mesoamerican demonā, even if great treasure, wellbeing, and collective benefit may lay on the other side. Having experienced some small slice of the psychedelic menu, I count myself supremely fortunate that it was within a strong set, setting, and matrix (the oft forgotten third of the trinity typically reduced to a duality) of support, care, and intellectual fidelity. I cannot in good conscience recommend you take things you do not have the tools to relate to well, digest the fruits of, or integrate the nutrients these make available to you. The newly resurgent psychedelic scene has a choice to make as the medical, legal, economic, and cultural landscape once more affords it greater reach and influence. Will you, will we, operate in a manner that self-imposes strong voluntary constraints? Will this scene learn the lesson of the 60s and do this thing from an adult rather than adolescent or, even worse, insolent and childish posture? I understand that justifiable resentment of the self-identified quirky outsider (r)evolutionary may drive you into a pattern of revenge, āsee I told you soā, and superiority complex. If so, I wish to entirely disassociate from that leadership amongst us. I donāt view @algekalipso as that. In fact, I view him (you) as one of the foremost leaders, motivated properly, operating with integrity, and continuously demonstrating great personal investment in the health of the social movement and its empirical and motivational grounding. However, I do believe that this historical moment in particular, and any cultural changes one wishes to proliferate into the population at large, demands of us or any leadership an ethic of care and carefulness embodied so thoroughly in our public display, word, and deed, that the only serious criticism an opponent can level against it is that they just donāt like or want it. Because if not, we shouldnāt act surprised when opposition mounts and increasingly uses more heavy handed approaches to organize resistance, up to and including the most costly, i.e. violence. And if we donāt understand those who oppose this better than they understand themselves, and if we canāt speak to them about the real benefits and serious tradeoffs that come along with the change we enact, we truly are no better than the hated dogmatists of this or that organized faith, or even the (il)liberal Greater American Empire and its irresponsible ābringing of democracyā to peoples & places that neither asked for it nor ever could sustain it without serious (and hopefully self-determined) investment in that change. And given that Iāve vaulted myself up on this high horse here, Iād reciprocally extend an invitation to you to hold me to account when I fail to operate in the manner described above. Letās all step up our game, because live players are sorely needed, and quickly.

@algekalipso You mentioned festivals and cold plunges. I have the impression thereās tons of latchers who do these things and actually integrate them into their latching process. It seems that mindset determines whether itās a meaningful unlatch, or a minor unlatch used to latch even harder.
