@SurPlayas I sympathized until the “Jewish trick” part… Were the Romans and Greeks not luxurious? The Persians or the Mayans, with their cities made of gold and their needs met by slaves? Falling victim to the soothing pleasures of luxury - a sort of siren - is ubiquitous.
