im aware of two academics in my life who were brutal hardasses in the face of obnoxious leftists politics. both of them were reserved, practical women responding to other women, women who probably had personality disorders

@Dan_VanSchooten @CandideIII the speaker absolutely stood her ground and said "yes i think dying of cholera is bad actually" i was really stunned and angry on her behalf, she was a total sweetheart and didnt deserve this shit. but also apparently pretty resilient

she once presented a slide deck at a school meeting on the subject of "our dean is a bitch and here are all the things she has written in her own hand literally acknowledging that she is a bitch" while the dean was sitting in the room
