@DefenderOfBasic @AzizAbuSarah Speaking from ignorance here, but I think the hatred comes from cultural brainwashing enhanced by media manipulation. Narratives on one side say all Palestinians want to eliminate Israel, and on the other side that Israel indiscriminately slaughters Palestinians.
@DefenderOfBasic @AzizAbuSarah I bet there are moderate majorities on both sides that just want to live their lives in peace. But this conflict is so entrenched. It’s like a wound that is infected and inflamed. You can’t even operate on it until the swelling goes down, but it just keeps getting aggravated.
@DefenderOfBasic @AzizAbuSarah It’s like those email chains where someone accidentally hits “reply all,” and then people keep chiming in to say “stop replying!” It’s like, dammit, you’re a part of the problem now, too. This why Jesus commanded forgiveness. Tit for tat with a touch of forgiveness is best.

@archived_videos @AzizAbuSarah Both are good!! Defense mechanisms against destroying our culture and systems of knowing. We don't all have to get on the same system, or same tribe. That will probably never happen, will never work. We just work together with other tribes
