each and every child i worked with, has indelibly changed something in me. it’s not merely that i love them; it’s that i also feel so much grief of them—i suppose i was drawn to the ones for whom that’s way more obvious. https://t.co/HJMXrXdV7b

there is something clawing about me. and you know what? something that made it very clear was working at the preschool. because the truth is, i saw it in some kids. and it just broke my heart open https://t.co/fyL8FpvDnh

they couldn’t help but be them. they were just them. they didn’t got a choice, even if they didn’t like it. how many of us think because we don’t like ourselves, we have a chance to just become somebody else?

but i could see, when i looked at their little bodies, they could never really escape their karma. it lived, in their bodies what does it do to you to really realise, really look at someone, and realise they don’t got a choice but to be them? https://t.co/aAxjZDrR80

a random thing i think about a lot is that everyone's stuck with their face it's that constant realisation, looking at people over and over again, realising that they're stuck with their face, that makes me find them so beautiful

it’s not love, exactly. it’s something closer to respect. i see you, fellow other being, of agency and otherness, of clay and fire, in this world it’s a similar sort of love i began having for trees and rabbits and every such sort of living thing

even by the time they are four years old, they are all so irreconcilably different. their bodies have seen four years of things on this earth. their spirits even longer

their family, their life situation, their body. whatever they were going to do next, this is what they had to work with, to start with. there is a great respect for beings that comes from recognising this
