Today [karim] was being oppositional and I loved dealing with it, and learning from the teacher how to deal with it. Gahdamn it was so good bro No karim u have to erase your whiteboard before we can play. Yes u can cry I know it’s hard. Yes we will sit here for 2h until you do.

I think it’s because I often feel so trapped by other people’s emotions. So it’s amazing to practice “I see you’re having Big Feelings. Those are okay to have and I can even help you with them. We’re still not gonna go your way though” with a child, instead of an adult
