with little kids, she said, you have to teach them the adult things. like keeping focus, taking directions teaching adults to be kid-like, on the other hand, she really enjoyed she said it's the kid-like and adult-like parts working together that makes beautiful things happen

this kind of untwisted something in my brain. i'd always thought, ah, the kid-like stuff seems so much better. but it's only because that's what i was missing! they're both developmentally important abilities
