we need to turn science off for twenty years and start over after there's no one left when all the knowledge of how to lie cheat and steal and get away with it has been lost and the art of sciencing has to be reconstructed from idealistic fantasies of the heroic past

@Meaningness I think this is already happening at the grassroots level - people (including scientists) don't trust papers anymore, unless the author is known to them personally, just like the old republic of letters. we can safely let the science bureaucracy dissolve, it'll be ok
