- timekeeping is a surprisingly large part of the job. when do we start & stop, are we spending enough time on each phase - clarity: what’s expected of me? where are we in the process? what are the instructions? what info needs to be explained now vs. later?

- vibe hygiene: guests follow what the host leads with, emotionally, energetically, somatically, intellectually. so what am I modelling?

- meta perspective: ability to navigate from the content to the context and back again. simultaneously tracking “what” are we doing and “how” we are doing it. intervening at both levels

- practical logistics, technology, venue, food, transport, physical accessibility... making things easy and decluttering the “user experience” of the social process as much as possible

- pushing people to get out of their habitual modes of interaction to get to a more satisfying outcome (e.g. making a rule like “don’t give advice”, or stepping out of brainy land into more embodied interactions)

@RichDecibels I have some facilitator friends that could benefit from this post, thanks so much. Re: brainy to embodied. I feel that one could only do so much in this regard. One could also bring in more people experienced with movement to demonstrate how things could be done differently…
