"dance moves" considered harmful (especially when preceded with "show off your") they give primacy to the way you look, when it's usually much more important how you feel

relevant: https://t.co/cTpWFY6FK5 and a thread a while ago about how "dancing to feel" and "dancing to convey to others your feelings" are almost completely different until ~20 I thought dancing was a sport to win 🤯 it's like if I thought eating was only for sommeliering

I don’t know if this study will replicate…but I’ve long believed humans have a basic need for synchronization. It’s available through team sports, dancing (especially if everyone is dancing the same dance), choir, complicated group photos where everyone jumps… https://t.co/rWsYGhXrpC
