I recently heard a group therapist who focuses on attachment styles theorise that as we start to become more securely attached we flip to other pole. which matches my own experience. eg she said she was avoidant, then she started to have anxious tendencies and she said by experiencing her own anxious tendencies and also getting a taste of her own medicine (experiencing others being avoidant towards her) she got to further heal it. this mirrors my own experience really well. (not sure how this applies to the disorganised attachment style)
