no one ever told me the 5 stages of grief are straightforwardly functional denial: yeah, sometimes "problems" are kinda fake and will go away anger: sometimes raising the energy to fight back solves it bargaining: sometimes you CAN make sacrifices, change things, and it's all good depression: feeling your feelings lets them process and pass on, very important acceptance: sometimes, you can't do anything but accept the situation - but honestly it's good to check the other options first

i'd say *depression is more about withdrawing and conserving energy from hopeless situations, and letting your inner voice speak to just how important this thing was, and let you know how important it is we don't move on without hearing out the soul https://t.co/Phbszk7nuY

@the_wilderless This is great, tho actually this framing gives me the feeling that depression and acceptance belong to the same category with the other three, making four in total

@the_wilderless reminds me of this vid about how probably one of the reasons people resist doing things is that as a kid people often try to get you to do things for dumb reasons and in fact if you ignore the thing the problem goes away (eg someone else solves it) https://t.co/tIyisl6glC
