@pachabelcanon i got like reverse gell-mann amnesia when he talked about roko's basilisk. he explained a thing i am more familiar with than he is and gets it like 99% right including its relationship to musk. and it's probably not even something he cares much about. incredible stuff

@QiaochuYuan Thank you for sharing this Isaacson greatly lowered his reputation with me with the shallowness and thoughtlessness of his Jobs bio, and for some reason I didn’t see any commentary on whether or not that pattern persisted when this came out
