It might ruin the joke sometimes, but I would appreciate a version of trending on this app that featured the patient-zero tweet for whatever nonsense is currently trending. Like when everyone is posting about eggs on my timeline, show me “original 30 eggs tweet”.

@eshear I completely agree. Inevitably by the time I get to it, I'm seeing 3rd- and 4th-degree riffs on it, and it's almost impossible to find the source material

@eshear that would be so worth it! those who dgaf can ignore if there's a clear enough keyword and slow enough takeoff, I've sometimes been able to find it by searching using until:2024-01-23 and pulling back the date until it shows up

@eshear right and often it explodes within hours, so without an until:2024-01-24T04:20:00Z it doesn't really work
